“Artsakh was only a prelude…
When you fail at something, it triggers a chain reaction. The number of knife holders increases to carry their pieces. And now, as a result of effective governance and total absence of power, a new reality has emerged.
Azerbaijan is taking advantage of the situation, trying to get the maximum not only from Artsakh, but also from Armenia. Lets say, occupying 20% of Armenia.
Syunik is essential here. I will say vital. For all: Why? Syunik is not only the foreign border of Armenia, but also of Iran, and this is a strategic border for the US-Israel alliance around Iran.
Syunik is important for Iran because it is the only land border through Armenia and Georgia to reach Russia and the Black Sea without “asking” Turkey and the Turkish states (which gather under the auspices of Turkey).
In terms of putting its paw on Syunik, Turkey’s role in the region is growing stronger, as both the US-Israeli alliance and Iran will “apply” to it. In addition, the issue of supplying gas and oil to Turkish countries to Europe via Azerbaijan and Turkey is no longer a problem, which will bypass Russia, significantly weaken Europe’s energy independence from Moscow, with all the ensuing consequences.
Now it is not our job to decide who will agree with whom. We are no longer a factor! They will not even ask.”
