The leader of the “National Renaissance” Party Hayk Khanumyan wrote on his Facebook page:

“As you know, today the enemy captured the Hin Tagher and advanced towards Khtsaberd. The enemy used artillery, we have 6 wounded. In the evening we gathered at the Russian base to understand their position. A lot of people gathered in a short time, regardless of political affiliation. There were, for example, the leader of the “Justice” party led by Vitaly Balasanyan during the parliamentary elections, a member of the same faction, who also shared our concerns.

The deputy commander of the Russian command talked to us (General Muradov is not in Artsakh). The Deputy Commander assured that they had agreed with the parties to stabilize the situation, our troops remained in the positions of Khtsaberd, but the enemy entered the village of Khtsaberd.

I should mention that the area was controled by the Defense Army, there were no Russian peacekeeping positions there. Negotiations are now underway at all levels to restore the former positions. We will meet again tomorrow at 11 o’clock to learn the news.”
