Armavir Mayor Davit Khudatyan wrote on his Facebook page, “Yesterday, NA deputy Edmon Marukyan asked the Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan a question and voiced the following idea, I quote verbatim: “Your (prime minister’s) resignation is demanded by the mayors and councils of the most important cities in the most important regions.” End of quote:

As the mayor of Armavir, I have a question for the dear NA deputy. Mr. Marukyan, by what mechanism is it determined which is the most important region of the Republic of Armenia, the most important city? How, for example, are the cities you supposedly mentioned more important than the city of Armavir?

P.S. Without going into other details of the issue, let me mention that for me the most important city of the Republic of Armenia is Armavir, and the position of the mayor of Armavir on the issue raised by Edmon Marukyan is known to everyone.”
