After the war unleashed by Azerbaijan against Artsakh, the Armenian side removed 846 bodies of killed Armenian servicemen from the territories under the control of Azerbaijan. RA Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan said this during a question-and-answer session with the government in the National Assembly, answering the question of “My Step” faction member Gevorg Papoyan.
“A large amount of search work and removal of bodies has already been done. Since 10 November, 846 bodies of victims have been removed from the battlefield, and work is underway. At the moment we have identified 294 unrecognizable bodies, and the bodies have been handed over to the parents. 154 body examinations have been done, no coincidences have taken place yet,” Avinyan said.
The Deputy Prime Minister added that 443 samples of the bodies of the killed servicemen are still under examination.
