Police issued a statement saying:
“On 8 December, acts of disobedience and protest took place throughout the country. Despite the calls and urgings of the police, the streets were blocked.
During all that time, the police maintained public order. In some cases, when the rights of other citizens were violated, police officers urged them to stop the operation.
Unfortunately, there were cases of interpersonal clashes during the operations to restrict movement. In this case, too, the police took preventive measures.
During that time, more than 100 people were brought to the regional police departments from different settlements of the country for committing violations, and protocols on administrative violations were drawn up. Four vehicles were taken to a special guarded area of the traffic police for the acts to obstruct the traffic.
Dear citizens, the police once again call for the observance of the rule of law and the rules of coexistence. We urge to exercise your subjective fundamental rights exclusively within the framework of the law, not to abuse them, to respect the rights of citizens.”
