The government recently published a decision that eliminated some points of martial law in Armenia.

The decision specifically states ․

“Based on Article 17, Part 1 of the Law on the Legal Regime of Martial Law րդ Article 34 of the Law on Normative Legal Acts, the Government of the Republic of Armenia decides ․

1. Recognize invalid Chapters 3 and 4 and Point 15 of the appendix to the decision N 1586-N of the Government of the Republic of Armenia of 27 September, 2020 “On declaring martial law in the Republic of Armenia”.
2. This decision shall enter into force immediately after its publication.”

According to the decision:

• The ban on organizing rallies and strikes and participating is lifted.
• Restrictions on publications and broadcasts are lifted.
• The special entry-exit regime and restrictions on the territory of the Republic of Armenia are eliminated.
