Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations discusses delivery of humanitarian aid to Artsakh by railway:  Ministry of Civil Defense, Emergencies and Disaster Relief of Russian Federation

The Ministry of Civil Defense, Emergencies and Disaster Relief of Russian Federation (MChS) is discussing the issue of delivering humanitarian aid by railway to the people of Nagorno Karabakh.

The press service of the ministry reported.

“Currently, the Russian Ministry of Civil Defense, Emergencies and Disaster Relief is working on the delivery of additional humanitarian aid by launching rail transport. It will save time for the delivery of goods, will accelerate the process of rehabilitation of infrastructure in the affected areas,” the Ministry informed.

According to the Ministry, the renovated houses in Nagorno Karabakh will be ready for resettlement in the near future.

“The rescuers of the Ministry of Civil Defense, Emergencies and Disaster Relief continue the restoration works of the houses until the beginning of winter. The first 10 apartment buildings will be ready for resettlement in the coming days using construction materials transferred to Nagorno Karabakh by the MChS,” the Ministry said.

Notably, on 9 November, the leaders of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan reached an agreement on the deployment of Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno Karabakh, as well as the villages of Talish and Mataghis in the Martakert region.

According to the statement, a peacekeeping force of the Russian Federation is deployed along the line of contact in Nagorno Karabakh, along the Lachin corridor, including 1960 servicemen armed with firearms, 90 armored vehicles, and 380 units of special vehicles. Some of the Russian peacekeepers have already been deployed in Artsakh.
