The problem is that our respective departments did not explain this in time: Ruben Rubinyan about Sotk mine

I know that many of you have the impression in connection with today’s events around the Sotk mine that the Azeris violated the border of the Republic of Armenia with a sense of insecurity and disorganization.

The chairman of the RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations, MP of “My Step” faction Ruben Rubinyan wrote about this on his Facebook page.

“I know that many of you have the impression in connection with today’s events around the Sotk mine that the Azeris violated the RA border without any obstacles, with the feeling of defenselessness and disorganization arising from this.

I completely understand.

But the reality is different. In fact, demarcation works are being carried out in this section, some of which are being carried out in the part of the Sotk mine, which, according to the 10 November statement, is in the Karvachar region, which passes through Azerbaijan.

That is, there was no intrusion inside the RA border. No new concessions have been made.

The problem is that our relevant departments did not explain this in time. They did not explain that nothing new happened in this part, which is beyond the logic of the 10 November statement.

In the coming days, I will do my best so that the departments present the events more quickly, unambiguously and clearly.

But this post is not about that.

The end of the war was difficult. The consequences of the 10 November statement are also severe.

But this should not mean that we should be disappointed with Armenia, not believe in Armenia, not believe in ourselves, consider ourselves incapable or hopeless, and give up.

You may be disappointed with the officials, the government, the opposition, politics, me, but believe in Armenia and yourself. There is no surrender.”
