Zakaria Supreme Archimandrite Baghumyan reports:
“I recently got in touch with the son of one of the employees of the Sotk mine, who is currently arguing with the Azeris. We are 9-10 people, and the Azeris are several dozen. According to the witness, they have drawn the border and crossed our state border a little bit. The Turks refuse to talk to us saying they will talk only to the Russians.”
Notably, the Ministry of Defense denies the rumors about breaking the gate leading to Karvachar. Final border adjustment works are underway. Gevorg Altunyan, head of the information and public relations department of the RA Ministry of Defense, referring to the spread information that the Azeris broke the gate.
“Of course, there is no question of breaking the gate. The issue of the final adjustment of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border is being discussed there via satellite communication, and GPS navigators. These works are underway, there is no talk of breaking gates,” Altunyan said.
He clarified the problem. “Since Armenia has not had a border with Azerbaijan in that direction until now, that is, Artsakh has been after Armenia, now there is a problem of adjusting the border. That work is being carried out.”
