The RA Military Prosecutor, RA Deputy Prosecutor General Vahe Harutyunyan arrived in the Artsakh Republic on a working visit, within the framework of which a number of meetings and discussions took place.

In particular, the delegation led by the RA Military Prosecutor was received by the President of the Artsakh Republic Arayik Harutyunyan. During the meeting, issues related to the cooperation of the military prosecutor’s offices of the Armed Forces in the Artsakh Republic after the adoption of a trilateral statement on the cessation of hostilities, the issues of ensuring the normal operation of the garrison prosecutor’s office in the new situation.

In Stepanakert, Vahe Harutyunyan also met with the First Deputy Military Prosecutor of the Southern Military District of the Russian Armed Forces, Colonel Dmitry Shuvarkin, and the Commander of the Russian Peacekeeping Troops in the Artsakh Republic, Lieutenant General Rustam Muradov.

The parties discussed the restoration of normal internal public life in Artsakh, the elimination of the humanitarian crisis, the life of the people of Artsakh, the movement, protection of other vital rights, security, the structures and methods of cooperation in the legal sphere. Issues related to the provision of legal assistance to the peacekeeping troops in Artsakh, the scope of the servicemen’s competencies and responsibilities were also touched upon.
