As a result of the continuous operative-intelligence operations carried out by the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia, undeniable information has been received that militants affiliated with Azerbaijani-Turkish-funded An-Nusra, Sultan Murad, Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, and Huras ad-Din terrorist organizations crossed the land border from the Syrian Arab Republic, accompanied by the Turkish Armed Forces, to the territory of the Republic of Turkey, and then underwent special training and then transported by air to Azerbaijan to take part in the hostilities against Artsakh.
In particular, new evidence has been obtained that they took part in hostilities as mercenaries in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
– Abu Stef al-Hindawi: he is a member of the so-called Syrian Liberation Army under Turkish control.
– Ahmad al-Tayeb: from the Syrian city of Idlib, studied at Aleppo University, lives in the Turkish city of Reyhanli near the Turkish-Syrian border.
– Abu Diab Halab.
The factual data confirming the participation of the mentioned persons as mercenaries in the hostilities against the Artsakh Republic were passed to the investigating body conducting the proceedings, on the basis of which, in the combination of sufficient evidence, Abu Stef al-Hindawi, Ahmad al-Tayeb and Abu Diab Halab, currently active at the scene of military operations and were involved as a defendants, a motion was submitted to the court to apply detention as a precautionary measure against them, and they were declared wanted.
In addition to the above, the measures taken revealed the details of more than 20 mercenaries taking part in the hostilities, including Abu Araba Hassan, Abu Shahir Bzaan, Mahmoud Abu Muhammad, Hammoud Telkin, Abu Bashir Maaran, and others who were also active and taking part in the unleashed hostilities against Artsakh.
The National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia provided the information about the mentioned persons to various international organizations, the special services of the partner countries in order to receive additional information, as well as to detain and prosecute them in case of their further discovery in any country.
As a result of operative-investigative measures, the sources of financing of terrorist groups, the methods of recruitment and the clear ways of transferring them from Syria to Turkey from other countries to Azerbaijan were revealed.
Besides, as a result of the cooperation of the two terrorists arrested in the Artsakh Republic in recent days with the preliminary investigation body, additional information was received regarding their stay in Azerbaijan and the instructions they received.
In particular, before launching them to battlefield, the militants were instructed not to leave anyone alive in Armenian villages, promising a reward of $ 100 for each beheaded Armenian. In addition not all the families of the terrorists killed in Azerbaijan have received the promised compensation, their families in Syria have not been informed about the deaths of many militants, which has caused dissatisfaction among members of terrorist groups brought to Azerbaijan.
Operative information was also received that after the end of the active military operations in Artsakh, the mentioned terrorist groups will not return to Syria, but plan to find ways to illegally penetrate into different countries of the region and carry out terrorist acts.
