Even after the start of hostilities on the borders of our country, the police, despite the expansion of functions and overload, continued the operations against the spread of the epidemic.

At the same time, given the psychological state of the society, the police refrained from prosecuting the offenders as much as possible, relying on the high self-awareness of the society, contenting themselves with warnings and exhortations. Unfortunately, it turns out that some of our citizens have a misconception about civic duty, public self-control, openly ignore the observance of safety rules, which has led to a sharp increase in the number of coronavirus patients. This is not only a matter of public health but also of national security today, as it poses serious problems for already overcrowded medical facilities.

Such a situation is intolerable. The police has been on enhanced duty since 23 October. All functions of monitoring the anti-epidemic security rules will be fully implemented. Violators of safety rules will be subject to administrative liability in the form of fines without any exception. We call on the citizens to understand the need for such actions, to work with the police to contribute to our victory on this front as well.
