On 16 October, Minister Arsen Torosyan met with the Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Andrea Wiktorin, and the Head of Co-operation Section of European Union Delegation in Armenia Gonzalo Serrano De La Rosa,

The Ministry of Health reported.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the work aimed at curbing the rapid growth of coronavirus disease and the measures to be taken in the near future.

Arsen Torosyan and Andrea Wiktorin also expressed their concern over the ongoing hostilities in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone. The parties referred to the need to properly organize medical care for victims of hostilities.

Both sides stressed the importance of international cooperation in Armenia in overcoming the existing challenges on the fronts of providing medical assistance to the victims of coronavirus disease and military operations in Armenia.

At the end of the meeting Andrea Wiktorin expressed readiness for the European Union to support the Armenian healthcare system.
