We are informed by the Ministry of Health.

The Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to Armenia Michael Johannes Banzhaff.

Welcoming the guest, the Minister noted that the urgent needs in the field of healthcare in Armenia require steps to be taken to overcome the effects caused by the war unleashed by Azerbaijan and the curbing the coronavirus.

“I am very grateful for the prompt response to the invitation, as the situation demands. Of course, you are aware of the situation in Armenia and Artsakh in connection with the military aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan. As you know, the Ministry of Health organizes full medical care for the wounded civilians in Artsakh and the citizens who moved to Armenia. At the same time, given the growing incidence of coronavirus worldwide, including in our country, we must continue to fight in this direction as well,” the Minister said.

The parties discussed humanitarian issues in the field of healthcare, exchanged views on cooperation between the two countries.

The Ambassador expressed readiness to make possible efforts to promote possible cooperation between the Federal Republic of Germany and the relevant authorities of the Republic of Armenia in addressing humanitarian needs.”
