The exchange of bodies is not taking place at the moment due to the ongoing hostilities by the Azerbaijani armed forces: Ministry of Defense

The statements of the Azerbaijani leadership that the Armenian Armed Forces allegedly attempted to attack Hadrut and Jabrail, set fire to a white-flagged ambulance collecting corpses in the area under Azerbaijani control, are baseless, and aim to blame the Armenian side for the violation of the humanitarian ceasefire. This was by the Ministry of Defense reported.

“The joint statement adopted at the level of foreign ministers on 10 October clearly states that the exchange of the bodies and prisoners of war and victims between Artsakh and Azerbaijan must be mediated by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) according to the ICRC’s criteria, which is not the case at present due to the ongoing hostilities by the Azerbaijani armed forces.

We consider the accusations of the Azerbaijani side as a primitive provocation, drawing the attention of the interested parties to this fact,” the statement reads.
