“Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan Hikmet Hajieyev” claimed in his Twitter microblog that Armenia had hit the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan gas pipeline with cluster bombs, attaching photos as evidence.
It is noteworthy that in the photo published by Hajieyv are the same Israeli M095 DPICM cluster bombs that Azerbaijan used against the civilian population of Stepanakert. It should be reminded that the authoritative Amnesty International stated that the organization’s experts were able to identify in Stepanakert that the capital of Artsakh was bombed with Israeli-made cluster bombs, while those bombs are prohibited by international law.
It can be emphasized that these missile systems and ammunition are available in the arsenal of Azerbaijan. Armenia has not bought such weapons from Israel.
Amnesty International also noted that Azerbaijan had reported the shelling of other second-largest cities, Ganja, and other settlements. However, the photo and video evidence presented by the latter do not allow to make a conclusion about the specific targeting, as well as whether there are cluster munitions in the missile warheads or not.
