The Ministry of Health is aware of the problem of filling the information gap about the injured. The structure also receives many calls, questions about where the soldier is.
The RA Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan said this today, on 6 October, at the Goris headquarters of the Armenian Unified Infocenter.
“That issue will be finally regulated today or tomorrow. There will be a hotline, which will enable to find out the location and condition of this or that soldier. Although, from the beginning, all the identified wounded are able to contact their parents. I have talked with many of our soldiers, questions about the connection. There are very few cases when we have unrecognizable wounded, they are unconscious due to the condition it is not known from which military unit they are, name, surname, etc. The recognition process related to them is a little different, as we and the partner of the Ministry of Defense are dealing with that issue. “In case of a final settlement of the system, it will be announced where to call, etc.,” the minister said.
He also mentioned that most of the wounded are light to moderate. “We have servicemen in a very, very serious condition, who, making up perhaps a smaller percentage of the wounded, and they demand more attention. And it is to them that the greatest attention of the medical institutions and staff is paid to, so that their lives are not endangered and they are saved.
According to him, the small percentage of servicemen in serious, extremely serious condition is understandable, because, unfortunately, some servicemen also die before reaching medical institutions.
“We have backup plans for all hospital facilities in Artsakh to organize services.”
