There is no need to give an experimental air-raid siren signal; if necessary, it will be real: Minister

There is no need to give an air-raid siren signal in the territory of the Republic of Armenia at the moment, but if necessary, it will be real, not experimental. RA Minister of Emergency Situations Felix Tsolakyan wrote about this on his Facebook page.

“Dear compatriots, these days, rumors have been circulating in certain circles of our society that there may be a signal of a test air alarm. I officially declare that at the moment there is no need to give an air-raid siren signal, but if necessary, it will not be experimental, but real. Although there is no need for it at the moment, I especially call on our compatriots in the border regions to update their knowledge, remembering the simple rules of behavior during an air emergency,” Tsolakyan wrote.

The Minister noted that the Ministry of Emergency Situations has all the necessary means of awareness to promptly inform the population in case of “Air Alarm”.

“If necessary, the notification will be carried out by means of electric signal systems, and in the form of short text messages sent to mobile phones, and through the mass media. Please, I urge all of you to follow only the official information,” Felix Tsolakyan added.
