The parties discussed the situation in Nagorno Karabakh, the developments in the hostilities.
The Prime Minister thanked France for its principled and constructive position on the inadmissibility of unleashing the war. The parties considered inadmissible the involvement of foreign terrorist militants in hostilities.
The President of France stressed the need for an immediate cessation of hostilities and the resumption of the peace process, in accordance with the statement of the Presidents of the Minsk Group Co-Chair countries made on 1 October.
Prime Minister Pashinyan considered unacceptable the penetration of Turkish-sponsored terrorists into the region, emphasizing that it is impossible to restore regional security without the expelling of these destabilizing forces. In the context of establishing peace, Nikol Pashinyan noted the close cooperation of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs and their countries.
