UN Security Council to hold an emergency meeting on the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh

On 29 September, the UN Security Council will convene a special session to discuss the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh. This was reported by TASS, citing its source.

“Most likely, the discussion will take place during closed-door consultations on Tuesday,” the source said.

In the early morning of 27 September, Azerbaijan started active shelling along the line of contact with Artsakh. Peaceful settlements, including the capital Stepanakert, are also being shelled. The first victims of the Azerbaijani attack were a woman and a child in the Martuni region. The Armenian side has 58 victims, about 120 wounded with various degrees of bodily injuries. The enemy shelled schools, including in Stepanakert.
