Every month sports benefits will be provided to current athletes, coaches and doctors. The government made a decision on this at the 3 September sitting.
Arayik Harutyunyan, the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, presented the issue to the members of the executive.
“The current champions and prize-winners of the Olympic Games, the World and European Championships in the program of the Olympic Games in the Republic of Armenia, as well as the athletes who have gained a rating for participating in the 2021 Summer Olympics, the coaches of the sports teams of the Republic of Armenia, no payment is provided, which formerly used to be done from a non-state source, but has been stopped for months. Athletes and coaches find themselves in a difficult situation,” Arayik Harutyunyan said.
