The victims of alcohol poisoning registered in Armavir region and Yerevan receive treatment in different medical organizations of the republic. The spokeswoman of the Ministry of Justice Alina Nikoghosyan reported.
2 are in Armenia RMC, 1 – in Erebuni MC. Doctors assess the health condition of all of them as extremely serious, and 2 of them are connected to an artificial respiration device.
A patient receiving treatment at Heratsi No. 1 Clinical Hospital on suspicion of poisoning sought medical help on 30 August. The connection of the latter poisoning with the current cases is being found out.
A preliminary epidemiological examination revealed that one of the 11 deaths previously announced was denied because the latter died of another cause.
Notably, all the victims used non-factory vodka, which could be a possible source of poisoning.
Work is currently underway to identify the range of alcohol users and take preventive measures.
Two samples of alcohol were taken for laboratory testing to determine the composition.
