A woman who was abused by her husband turned to the Human Rights Defender for help in securing her daughter.
The investigation of the complaint revealed that the husband, being regularly under the influence of alcohol, used violence against his wife. As a result of such regular violence, the woman became seriously concerned about the safety of her disabled daughter.
We learn about this from the Facebook page of the Human Rights Defender.
Taking into account the importance and urgency of the issue, the Defender’s staff initiated joint work with the Police, the circumstances of the case were investigated. As a result, a “warning” protection measure was applied to the citizen’s spouse. The issue of transferring the woman and her disabled daughter to a shelter was discussed.
As a result of effective cooperation with state bodies and non-governmental organizations, the woman and her daughter were taken to a shelter.
