Spokeswoman for the Ministry of Health Alina Nikoghosyan made a post on her Facebook page, which says:

“Gyumri Infectious Diseases Hospital and Spitak Medical Center are now returning to their normal work, the branch of Martuni Medical Center serving the citizens with coronavirus disease is closing. At the moment, the country is in a slightly stable state of coronavirus disease; there is no need to have such a large number of hospitals.

A total of 67 patients are being transferred from three institutions to Yerevan, where they will continue receiving their medical care. After the end of the treatment, the transfer of the latter will be carried out by the Ministry of Health.

I would like to add that a part of Martuni Medical Center and Gyumri Infectious Diseases Hospital will serve as a triage center (admission, diagnosis, transfer) if necessary.

At the moment, only Kapan Medical Center has a department among the regional medical centers.”
