According to the relevant decision of the government, 277 million 618 thousand drams will be allocated to the Tavush regional administration of the Republic of Armenia to eliminate the aftermath of the shelling and to provide assistance to the residents of the border communities in the region. According to the preliminary assessment, at least 302 million 618 thousand drams will be needed to compensate and reconstruct the damaged real estate of the residents of the border communities of the Tavush region of the Republic of Armenia affected by the shelling that began on 12 July, of which 25 million drams have already been allocated in advance. Out of 277 million 618 thousand drams allocated, 110,581.5 thousand drams will be directed to Aygepar, Movses, Nerkin Karmiraghbyur and Chinar border communities for the compensation of damaged real estate of the residents. 84 million 357 thousand drams for the renovation of Aygepar, Movses, Nerkin Karmiraghbyur and Chinar schools and the repair of shelters. 82 million 680 thousand drams for the construction of a park in Nerkin Karmiraghbyur community and the construction of a residential house, auxiliary buildings and improvement of the area in Chinari.
Nikol Pashinyan have emphasized the decision made and mentioned, “As we have committed after the July events, we must support the border villages. At the same time, certain signals are received that the work is not going on fast enough. Apparently, we are a bit slow, the residents want to see the work faster. We have also had several discussions during this time to make this spending more efficient. I want to emphasize that we will build the destroyed house in Chinari village from scratch. In Nerkin Karmiraghbyur village we will establish a park on the place of one of the destroyed houses. No one lives there, we will buy the area from the owner and give it to the village.
Our task is the following: the work must be done as soon as possible, with quality, the content of the work is very important. We should not just fill the gap, but try to give new content, new color, and new shade to the border villages with these works, by which we will express our certain strategic approaches and lay the foundation for the revival of those villages.”
The Prime Minister also stressed the need to introduce a new Armenian philosophy in the construction of border settlements affected by the shelling. “The difference between the perception of state construction and non-state construction must be eliminated. When we say house, we should not understand only four walls, one roof, when we say park, we should not understand only four benches, one fountain. With this state-building, a new construction culture, a new color, a philosophy must enter those small areas. What we say should be reflected in what we do. We talked about the lack of colors in the villages, about urban development issues, about environmental issues. It is inadmissible that after talking about it, it does not reflect on what we have built,” Prime Minister Pashinyan said, adding that this mission is very responsible.
According to the Prime Minister, the park under construction in Tavush and the house should be the new Armenia.
