Spokeswoman for the RA Ministry of Defense Shushan Stepanyan informs:

“On the night of 19-20 July, on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, as at this moment, relative calm was maintained.

The enemy violated the ceasefire 9 times with firearms in some parts of the border, firing about 137 shots at the Armenian positions.

Combat positions located in the direction of Tchambarak twice, moreover, the enemy used AGC -17 grenade launcher. The enemy was silenced by the return fire of the Armenian side.

Non-targeted fire was fired 4 times at Chinari, Nerkin Karmiraghbyur, Berkaber, Berdavan military positions. There was no return fire from the Armenian side.

Combat positions located in the direction of Khndzorut, non-target fire was fired twice. There was no return fire from the Armenian side.

Combat positions located in the direction of Paruyr Sevak – once. The enemy was silenced by the retaliatory fire of the Armenian side.”
