Artsakh Republic President Arayik Harutyunyan’s spokesman Vahram Poghosyan writes on his Facebook page:

“As we have already informed, today the President of the Artsakh Republic Arayik Harutyunyan visited Talish and Mataghis communities of Martakert region. During the meeting with the residents, especially those living in Talish and some families from Mataghis, expressing concern over the hostilities in Tavush, they asked for the temporary transfer of women, children and the elderly the rear communities for security reasons.

On the instruction of the President of the Republic, the evacuation was organized. All displaced persons will be provided with accommodation and food.

I should add that the front line is relatively calm, and the Defense Army is in full control of the situation.

P.S. We all stand by the border guards and residents of Tavush. My condolences to the relatives of all the heroic boys who were perished defending the Homeland.”
