Armenia is a CSTO member. Azerbaijan is not a CSTO member. Therefore, the CSTO should condemn the provocations of Azerbaijan, only call on the Azerbaijani side to cease fire without meaningless statements directed to both sides. The head of the NA “Bright Armenia” faction Edmon Marukyan wrote about this on his Facebook page.
Notably, today the CSTO Secretariat issued a statement stating the need to immediately restore the ceasefire in the CSTO area of responsibility, urging the parties to resolve the conflict by peaceful means and refrain from provocative actions to prevent escalation of tensions.
