YSMU Academic Council has convened a remote session to thank all the medical workers of the Republic of Armenia.

At the sitting of the Academic Council, 889 graduates of the YSMU will take the oath of Hippocrates.

The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Arayik Harutyunyan was also present at the event. He noted that today the medical workers protect the society from the invisible attack, which threatens not only Armenia, but also the whole world.

“Yesterday, when I received an invitation to participate in this ceremony, I did not think at all, I immediately agreed. Medicine and the medical profession have been redefined in recent months. I cannot say that in this struggle the majority of our society supports you. There are separate manifestations, moods change, but we do not fully support you in the fight against coronavirus.

The government is doing everything possible to make the public support your fight against the coronavirus, to make it everyone’s fight, so that you can return to your families,” the Minister said.
