As a result of operative-investigative measures taken by the officers of the General Department of Criminal Police, Vayots Dzor Regional Department and Yeghegnadzor Division within the framework of cooperation between the RA NSS and the RA Police, factual data were obtained that in the period of 2015 – 2019, the director of “Vayots Dzor Forestry” Branch had assigned 11 individuals interrelated with hin to different positions. The latter did not attend work, but salary was written off in their names and thus a large sum of money in the amount of 28 million AMD was stolen embezzled from the state budget

A criminal case has been initiated in the police on the case of embezzlement or waste of a particularly large amount, which was sent to the Investigative Committee.

Note: A person that is suspected or accused of an alleged crime is considered innocent until his/her guilt is proved by a court judgment that has come into legal effect pursuant to the procedure determined by RA Criminal Procedure Code.
