Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made a note, which reads:
“Against the background of the Coronavirus crisis, this information is certainly not so urgent, but I am glad that the international community is recording the profound changes that are taking place in Armenia’s economic environment.
Armenia’s economy is becoming more and more free and this is the main way to stimulate investment.
Dear compatriots, we must overcome the coronavirus crisis and return to building our prosperity.”
Notably according to the Economic Freedom Index published by the Heritage Foundation, Armenia has improved its position by 13 points in one year, ranking 34th among 180 countries, becoming from a “moderately free” country a “mostly free” economy country..
With this indicator, Armenia is the leader among the EEU countries, besides, the general score of our country exceeds the regional and world average indicators.
