Today, the Minister of Justice Rustam Badasyan received the delegation led by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Armenia Lynne Tracy.
The Minister highly appreciated the meetings with the Ambassador, noting that during them the most important issues within the framework of cooperation are discussed.
US Ambassador Lynne Tracey also attached importance to the meeting with Minister Badasyan and discussed the support of the US Government for the ambitious reforms of the Armenian justice system, including the formation of anti-corruption institutions and police reforms.
In a conversation with the Ambassador, Rustam Badasyan referred to the police reforms and emphasized that they are developing in the right direction and at a fast pace. As for the establishment of the Patrol Service, the Minister said that the relevant legislative changes have been made in a short period of time, sub-legislative acts are currently being developed, and the number of interested people after the initial announcement of the Service is inspiring.
During the meeting, the Minister of Justice also touched upon the developments in the forensic, anti-corruption and confiscation of property of illegal origin areas.
