Adviser to the Prosecutor General Gor Abrahamyan reports:
“We repeat once again that there can be no political decision to submit a motion to deprive a deputy, including Gagik Tsarukyan, of his immunity.
Such decisions shall be made only within the framework of the criminal proceedings, on the basis of the extent to which the Prosecutor General considers the evidence gathered during the examination to be sufficient or insufficient in terms of the merits of such a motion.
Therefore, it is pointless to try to politicize criminal proceedings exclusively before the events.
If there are grounds for a motion to submit a petition to the National Assembly on such an issue, the prosecutor’s office will inform the public about it.”
