Ani Samsonyan, a member of the “Bright Armenia” faction of the National Assembly, made a post on her Facebook page, which reads:

“The Armenian authorities treat the subjects protesting in the street selectively. If the protesters are for power, they can be in the street. All those who complain about the government’s actions are removed by the police.

Today, we are once again witnessing the illegal actions of the RA Police, in particular the disrespectful attitude towards women deputies.

The RA Police must refrain from trying to aggravate the situation with its actions.

Legal and political assessments will still be voiced by us.

And now my colleagues and I are going to the police station to the detained persons!”
