Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan informs:
“Spitak” Medical Center (100 beds), “Vedi” Medical Center (100 beds) and one department of “Martuni” Medical Center (35-40 beds) will join the healthcare system for combating coronavirus in the next few days. Notably, about 2,000 beds have been set up for this purpose so far.
An important fact. Today, for the first time, the patients admitted to the triage center on the basis of our new National Center for Burns were given a computed tomography scan at the Radioisotope Production Center (known as the Cyclothron Institute of Physics).
By the way, about a month ago at the government session I asked the Minister of Health when the positron emission tomography, which is very necessary for the citizens of our cancer, will start operating and is located in this very center.
I would like to inform that the items and materials needed for the final launch of the latter were imported to Armenia last week and will be fully operational next week, after many years of idleness. Our patients with cancer will no longer have to travel abroad for PET/CT.
