RA Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan made a post on his Facebook page which reads:
“A party digging its own political grave, which seems to be called ‘Bright’ today, like an orchestra, accuses me of thwarting the ‘fight against the virus’, forgetting who was against the extension of the state of emergency, the introduction of the IT detection system of the contact persons, the wearing of masks, who tore the throat demanding that public transport, which is a source of infection, could be reopened quickly, and the large manufacturing enterprises with dozens of infected people, who doubted the expediency of providing quarantine in hotels, considering it “extravagance” and “painting”.
The Armenian healthcare system, contrary to you, has done several times much more than it could to curb the rate of infection. The system, which has been underfunded by 1.4% of GDP for decades and underdeveloped materially and technically, still behaves like a hundred times richer, thanks in part to dedicated medical staff, for whom I am deeply grateful.
Boys and girls, your train has left before arrival.”
