On the instructions of the Human Rights Defender, the rapid response group left for the Erebuni Police Department in connection with the arrest of the employees of the restaurant sector protesting near the Government building.

There will be private talks with the detained citizens and the grounds for bringing them and the state of ensuring their rights will be studied.

Notably, the police had recently issued a statement, noting:

“A statement was recently spread on the Internet, according to which the owners and employees of restaurant complexes, ceremonial halls, singers, musicians, celebrities, cooks, waiters and individuals of other specialties were urged to hold a gathering.

It should be reminded that by the decision 298-N of the Government in 2020, during the state of emergency it is prohibited to organize, hold and participate in rallies.

We call on you not to violate the requirements of the Government’s decision. Any violation will cause legal consequences.”
