International Nurses’ Day is celebrated in a number of countries around the world today. The Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan congratulated the medical workers, noting in his speech:
“12 May has been chosen in honor of the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of the Nursing Service.
Dear nurses, Your mission is very important, especially these days, in hard and responsible work. Accept my warmest congratulations, know that you are appreciated. It’s hard to imagine doctors working without nurses, because it’s you who works directly with patients throughout the treatment. This dedication saves lives.
Rest assured that your care and smile are more than needed throughout the patient’s recovery.
Be strong, and may optimism and patience not leave you in these difficult times.
I wish you good health, peace in the sky, family warmth and new successes.”
