Last night at about 22:30 and 23:0010 p.m., the daughter of the lawyer Seda Safaryan, the son-in-law, his sister, mother and father were beaten in the Mush District of Yerevan between.

In a conversation with “A1 +”, Seda Safaryan said that the perpetrators of violence were a group (5-6) of unbalanced people. According to Mrs. Safaryan, they cursed loudly at night, and the son-in-law came out and tried to get an explanation why they were cursing and disturbing people’s peace.

“My son-in-law was beaten without any reason. I wonder, if they had problems only with my son-in-law, why did they beat women as well? We had seen so many cases of hooliganism, I had never seen anything like it. I’m just amazed,” Seda Safaryan said, adding that the group moved a little aside from the yard, so that they wouldn’t be filmed.

Further the women tried to intervene, but the situation worsened.

According to Seda Safaryan, even the neighbors had intervened, but they were also hit for interfering. According to Ms. Safaryan, the wife of a former police officer who intervened in the incident as wll, called the police, but her husband called back and informed that everything had calmed down, there was no need to arrive at the scene.

“According to the police, they were misled, so although they intended to come to the scene, they did not come and went back. They said we could have caught the beaters if the former police officer hadn’t guided us,” Seda Safaryan said.

Until 03:00 at night, Mrs. Safaryan and her relatives were at the Shahumyan Police Department.

According to Mrs. Safaryan, during that time the beaters were not found and even their identities were not clarified. According to Seda Safaryan, the relatives have not yet passed a medical examination.

“My child’s head hurts, she says she was kicked in the fall, she held her head with hands. They punched my groom’s sister in the ear and kicked her in the jaw,” she said.

Seda Safaryan is going to report to the police again soon, to clarify the state of the process.
