Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s spokeswoman Mane Ghorgyan referred to the incident involving the leak of the video with Nikol Pashinyan’s participation before the live broadcast, about which she says:
“At the urging of the Prime Minister’s Office, the release of the Prime Minister’s message by open channel to other TV channels does not mean that the TV station should have provided an open channel, starting with the preparatory work.
The professional approach assumes that other TV channels should have been provided open broadcast exclusively for a few seconds before the broadcast and not 5,10,15 or 20 minutes before.
Meanwhile, it turned out that the Public Television, without informing the Prime Minister’s Office, had provided an open channel for other TV channels at least 15 minutes prior to it.
The Prime Minister’s press service was informed about the open channel 20 seconds before the message, gave the necessary countdown for the live broadcast, after which the message started. Moreover, the government’s press service was informed that before the start of the Prime Minister’s message, only a photo will be on the air, including on the open channel.
The incident proves that making trial broadcasts available to other TV stations is a result of unprofessionalism, as even the novice professionals in the field are aware that they are testing the broadcast in advance before inviting the Prime Minister in front of the camera.
The failure to inform the Prime Minister that he is on the air, even an experimental is a proof of extremely scattered work style. Only those who are unaware of the case could assume that it is necessary to provide other channels with open channel 15 minutes before the message.
The Prime Minister’s Office expects proper clarifications from the TV company on the outflow of technical experience footage.”
