On 18  April, Commandant Tigran Avinyan signed a new decision, which introduced new restrictions in Maralik and Dzorakap settlements.

Apply the following restrictions in Maralik and Dzorakap settlements of Ani community of Shirak region of the Republic of Armenia.

a) Establish a special regime for entering the administrative border of the settlements and exiting the administrative borders, prohibiting the entry and exit of persons and vehicles, except for the supply of essential goods, supplies, food, medicine, fuel, agricultural and horticultural works transportation of persons by M1 interstate highway.

b) To allow the exit and entry of persons for the implementation of agricultural and horticultural works defined by sub-clause “a” of this clause only in the presence of a form signed by the head of Ani community, in accordance with the appendix to this decision.

c) In order to control the traffic flow on the M1 interstate highway defined by sub-clause “a” of this point, the RA Police shall establish patrol inside Maralik and Dzorakap settlements and exclude stopping the vehicles moving within the administrative boundaries of Maralik and Dzorakap settlements.

d) Set an exception for restricting the entry of Maralik and Dzorakap settlements defined by sub-clause “a” of this clause until 19 April, 2020, at 22:00, allowing the entry of persons permanently residing or actually residing in Maralik-Dzorakap settlements.

e) In order to ensure the implementation of the special regime, to install special checkpoints in the places defined by the RA National Security Service and the RA Police in order to carry out the inspection of persons and vehicles allowed in the administrative territory of Maralik and Dzorakap settlements.

To the RA Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan, the Director of the RA National Security Service Eduard Martirosyan, Chief of the RA Police Arman Sargsyan, Shirak Governor Tigran Petrosyan to ensure the implementation of this decision.

This decision enters into force on 19 April, 2020, at 6:00 AM, and is valid until 25 April, 2020, at 11:59 p.m.

Notably on 16 April the Commandant signed a decision, which banned the Norashen community entrance and exit. The reason was that in the village, during the funeral, there was contact with the positive case from another country, violating the instructions of the guard.

Norashen will remain closed until April 18 at 11:59 p.m.
