The Ministry of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia has summed up the process of designing, implementing ideas and proposals for complete or partial production of lung ventilation devices to support the healthcare system in order to prevent the spread of New Coronavirus (COVID-19).

In total, the ministry received 280 applications, 230 of which have already been summarized and developed.

10% of the developed applications, 23 applications, are related to the donation of systems in disrepair.

10 such devices have already been collected, which, thanks to the specialists of the “Engineering City”, get a second life and are completely ready for use.

17% of the submitted ideas are 40 applications from Armenian manufacturing plants, engineering companies, universities and research institutes. They are ready to be involved in the design and testing of lung ventilation devices, laboratory tests, spare parts, parts, forms and components, which will allow them to get the necessary components and parts that should have been imported from other countries in a short time.

16% of the proposals, 37 applications, were received from Armenian engineers, from radio engineers to specialists in Nano electronics. They are ready to invest their professional knowledge in the study, design, repair and modernization of medical equipment, if necessary, to create engineering groups or join existing design and production groups, supporting engineering solutions, design and production.

58% of the received proposals refer to the study of international experience, the presentation of projects in accordance with international standards, the current situation of the latest equipment and companies.

Project proposals to start production of lung ventilation devices, sterilization and respiration devices, ozonators and UV protection layers are received from 10 technology companies of Armenia.

Our compatriots from Lebanon, Russia, Germany and the United States also offered their support. If necessary, they are ready to provide assistance to Armenian engineers, to receive samples of international experience, professional advice, and, if possible, to clarify the technical descriptions of the parts of the devices.
