Garik Sargsyan, the governor of Ararat region, issued a statement, which reads:

“According to the latest data, we have two new cases of coronavirus in Ararat region. The total number of infected people currently is 175.

Unfortunately, a death was registered at “Artashat” Medical Center in the morning. A 93-year-old resident of Yerevan had coronavirus disease, confirmed by right-sided pneumonia. The man had concomitant chronic diseases, including prostate cancer and hypertension.

It is very important that we continue to strictly follow all the instructions of the the Commandant’s Office. Now, more than ever, we must be responsible and united. By staying at home, we help our country overcome this serious challenge.
