Within the framework of the bilateral cooperation reached between the Ministers of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia and the Russian Defense David Tonoyan and Sergey Shoigu, the parties agreed to support prevention of spread of the new coronavirus infection and to support the organization of anti-epidemic measures. The team is equipped with a portable laboratory and disinfection system for COVID-19 infection testing. At the disposal of the Ministry of Defense, these systems will provide an opportunity to conduct examination of the personnel of the RA Armed Forces and the Russian 102nd military base located in the RA.

Examination in target groups will greatly contribute to the organization of preventive measures and will significantly increase the effectiveness of anti-epidemic measures.
