The results of the testing of two samples sent to Armenia on suspicion of coronavirus from the Artsakh Republic the previous day were received today, one of which was positive and the other negative.
The Ministry of Health of the Artsakh Republic informs.
We consider it necessary to remind about the confirmed case that on 2 April, in the morning, the citizen was taken by ambulance to Kashatagh Medical facility and isolated, because he had returned to Artsakh from a settlement that is considered an “infection center” in the Republic of Armenia. The second tested citizen was the relative of the citizen who returned from Armenia, who was taken to the same medical facility on 4 April with another problem, with symptoms of bronchitis.
Taking into account the fact that the citizen was in Mirik village of Kashatagh region after returning to Artsakh from Armenia, all 17 citizens who had been in contact with him in the previous days, for security reasons, had previously isolated themselves and have no symptoms at the moment.
The specialists of the “Epidemiology and Hygiene Center” SNCO of Artsakh, after clarifying the scope of possible contacts with him, a few days ago carried out the necessary disinfection works in the private houses of the self-isolated citizens.
It should be noted that the settlement is 39 km away from the regional center and 89 km from the capital. The above-mentioned settlement, after isolating the citizen, was under control.
In order to avoid false and unverified news, we urge to follow the official news, which is presented through the information headquarters of the interdepartmental commission coordinating the prevention of the spread of the new coronavirus formed in the Artsakh Republic.
