Who are at High Risk for Developing Severe Illness? Decision of the Commandant

On 31 March, Deputy Prime Minister, Commandant Tigran Avinyan signed Resolution N 27, which set out groups of persons at high risk of developing severe illness by rules provided to prevent the spread of new types of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) by 3rd organizations.

According to the rule, some people who are infected may have no symptoms, some may be very mild, and they can easily recover. The other part can be very heavy and instantaneous.

The following persons are at risk of developing severe disease.

  • People with weak immune systems (eg, cancer),
  • Adults 70 years and older,
  • Persons with chronic diseases,
  • Toddlers and infants.
