On April 1, the next session of the Commandant’s Office was held headed by the RA Commandant Tigran Avinyan.
Tigran Avinyan said:
“Good day, dear colleagues,
We begin the next meeting of the Commandant’s Office. As you know, yesterday we discussed and decided to extend the movement restrictions and types of economic activity for 10 days with some adjustments and tightening. Today will be the day to adjust that decision and fill in the gaps. However, in general, inter-regional movements in the territory of the Republic of Armenia will be sharply restricted. A new restriction regime is also in place for those who visit the workplace, which should have forms certifying their place of work starting tomorrow and provided by the employer. I should note that the National Security Service, the Military Police, and the Ministry of Emergency Situations will be added to the police force so that we can make oversight more effective.
I would also like to inform that late last night the National Assembly passed a draft law on state of emergency that will allow us to filter the range of persons most likely to have had contact with the infected as soon as possible.
The work of public transport is also limited. Although, again, public transport was not working at full capacity, now no public transport other than the railway should operate.”
Participants discussed issues related to the installation of special checkpoints, disinfection and anti-epidemic activities and other upcoming steps.
