Concerns have been raised in recent days over the spread of a new coronavirus infection in the Republic of Armenia, with concerns over control of the situation in the armed forces and suggestions for bringing the army into a barracks situation.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia.

The Ministry of Defense of Armenia appreciates the concern and approach of various public circles, but assures that it is making every effort to keep the armed forces out of the coronavirus infection as much as possible in a 24-hour regime.

We are convinced that the Armed Forces is capable of overcoming this pandemic challenge and is also pursuing its mission of ensuring the inviolability of state borders.
