Police continue to enforce the Commandant’s decision to restrict the free movement of persons to prevent the possible spread of the new coronavirus.

Since the decision came into force, by 09.00 on 26 March, the traffic police officers have found 685 vehicles in the republic, which transported more than 2 persons. All those who violated the decision were removed from the cars.

Protocols on administrative misconduct were drawn up against 9 public transport drivers who transported more than a specified number of passengers.

We once again urge the population to strictly limit leaving their homes and leave homes only in case of urgent need. Drivers are advised to have only one passenger in accordance with the requirements of the Commandant’s decision.
