Necessary anti-epidemic and preventive measures are being implemented in the armed forces to prevent the penetration and spread of the new coronavirus infection registered in the Republic of Armenia. The Ministry of Defense reports.
“Taking into account that besides the conscripts of the RA Armed Forces the service also has direct contact with the civilian population (officers, ordinary contractors), epidemiological inquiries are constantly and medical examinations are carried out.
At the moment, three servicemen have been sampled for COVID-2019 testing, one of whom has been confirmed to have a coronavirus. The servicemen are from the same military unit not involved in combat.
According to the pre-elaborated plan, close contacts have been isolated when necessary and the rest of the contacts are self-isolated.
The military medical facilities of the Armed Forces are equipped with the necessary material, the medical staff is ready to carry out the appropriate treatment of possible patients with new coronavirus infection,” the statement reads.
